Reincarnation All Over Again

Esteemed aficionados, the riff is a cool, sweet downbeat that heralds the appearance of Jason Eisenberg's Lord Buckley Reincarnation Ensemble to a theater, nightclub, bar or sidewalk near you.

Using a potent elixer made of one part Truth Serum, one part Jumpin' Love Nectar and one part Swingin' Wig Babble, Eisenberg and his Buddy Kats flip the mip and rip the zip. As the sweet princess Chris Radant is quoted as saying:"Veteran performance artist Eisenberg delivers the Whammy Of All Word Whammys with a cool, crazy sound".

Cool and swingin' London UK cats and kitties MUST to put this on their date slate. Actor Jake Broder is laying the new and regrooved Zam Zam Room, his beautiful Lord Buckley evocation on the populance at two very cool Soho summer venues: the Pizza Express Jazz Club and the legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club Dig what the Printheads committed inkwise:

"PICK OF THE WEEK" - THE GUARDIAN

TIME OUT CRITICS' CHOICE

In the tradition of Jon Hendricks mixed with Robin Williams by way of Mahatma Gandhi, Jake Broder brings back the rantings of Lord Buckley, the high Sahib of the beat generation.

And the gate at the 88's is 'Professor' Alex K Hutton. Bear witness to Lord Buckley's legendary nightclub act, in town for a limited time only.

Little Gods And Goddesses

The Lord Is Come - To The World Of Roleplaying Games!

Two comparatively recent releases of Role Play Game source material may be of interest to the Royal Court: one set in the far-flung future and the other just off to the side from here and now.

"Spies And Revolutionaries - for the Fading Suns" game from Holistic Design. The year is Five-Thousand-and-change; humanity done went and took to the stars, stompin' on some whole new spheres, built us a sweet swingin' techno-utopia then blew the whole gig and spent the last millenium in a New Dark Age. For those who like their science fiction with a medieval flavor; noble houses, the Universal Church of the Celestial Sun and the merchant guilds, with lotsa aliens and bug-eyed monsters thrown in for good measure. Spies And Revolutionaries is a collection of dossiers covering the "intelligence community" (so-called), with a file on the "Mercurians," latter-day Discordian pranksters who go 'round knockin' the edges off the squares. One of 'em goes by the name of "Lord Buckley"...

The Crown Prince Mystery

You noir type cats and kitties that go flip for a little mystery now and then, and you studs and stallions that are looking for an easy way to rise through the ranks of the Royal Court may want to dig the slo-motion gavel scene at ebay. Someone (there is no positive ID) purporting to be “H.R.H. Crown Prince Richard Buckley (son of Lord Buckley)” is offering a possibly intriguing cache of Lord Buckley goods. Four CDs with over 50 Lord Buckley routines, a poster, a paperback book and a Certificate of Royalty. The 4 CD set is part of a limited series of 100.

The playlist for the four CDs is varied but appears to be primarily previously issued material. Yet there are some items that LBC is not familiar with (view the playlist using the link below.) The poster is titled “Wild Truth” it is 17" X 18". The paperback book is a worthy tome of 20th century “solo performance text” called “Extreme Exposure”. The Certificate of Royalty is a curious notion. The official archivist at LBC has turned up nothing to indicate that His Lordship ever laid a title on anybody in exchange for the coin of the realm. But the current instance is very much in line with the enterprising practices of the medieval Roman Catholic Church that sold Indulgences to those needing to cover the action. Methinks His Lordship would have laid a little Latin on us as comment: “Res ipsa loquitur, Daddy-o!!” or possibly "Caveat emptor, Your Grace."
